Cardiopulmonary

If you suffer from circulatory, breathing, or sleep problems, excellent help is here.

When you require tests or therapy, there's no need to add a long car ride to the discomfort of your ailment. Just ask your doctor to refer you to Schuyler Hospital. We offer professional care that's more personal and compassionate than you'll find elsewhere. A low patient/therapist ratio allows our staff to take their time with you and treat you more like a friend than a patient.

There's no compromise on quality. All of our technicians and therapists are fully credentialed, licensed practitioners in their specialties. We've been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the American Association of Respiratory Care, placing us in the top 10 percent in the country since 2003.

Pulmonary Function Testing

Helping you to Breathe Easy

To diagnose coughing and breathing problems caused by bronchitis, asthma, asbestosis, chronic smoking, and other reasons, Schuyler Hospital offers comprehensive pulmonary function testing services.

Pulmonary function tests evaluate how much air your lungs can hold, how quickly you can move air in and out of your lungs, and how well your lungs add oxygen to the blood and remove carbon dioxide from the blood.

Diagnostic procedures include:

• Spirometry for inhalation and expiratory volumes
• Gas diffusion efficiency
• Blood gas level testing
• Oxygen saturation testing
• Bronchodilation flow rate testing
