Schuyler Hospital and Schuyler Ambulance Receive Generous Donations from Watkins Glen Elks Club

December 29, 2020 Montour Falls, NY – Schuyler Hospital and Cayuga Health (CH) officials received a handsome check today of $4,000 for the Schuyler Hospital Foundation from the Watkins Glen Elks Club in front of Schuyler Hospital this afternoon. Schuyler County Volunteer Ambulance Association also received a $1,500 check from the Elks Club.

“We are grateful for and humbled by this donation from the Watkins Glen Elks Club and for the continuous support of our community during this time, and always,” states Rebecca Gould, President & CFO of Schuyler Hospital. “Additional PPE for staff will be very beneficial as we continue to fight this pandemic to keep our community and the residents of Seneca View safe.”

The donations stem from a grant initiated by Tom Phillips, retired Watkins Glen School District Superintendent and new Schuyler Health Foundation Board Member as of November 2020. The grant for Schuyler Hospital was written for additional PPE for frontline workers in Schuyler
Hospital and at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility. The grant for Schuyler Ambulance was written for additional PPE, to support the volunteers and help keep the community safe and healthy. The Watkins Glen Elks Lodge #1546 grant passed through the national Elks association, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the U.S.A.
