At their annual spring luncheon in May, the Schuyler Hospital Auxiliary named their Volunteer of the Year and voted in new officers.
Betty Vinti was named Volunteer of the Year for taking magazines and books around to Seneca View residents weekly, assuring that November Splendor attendees sign the historical “doctors’ dance” book, and helping out with a variety of events and activities.
Vinti is a long-time Auxiliary member and current Historian, and does so much more in the community – including supporting the Schuyler Health Foundation, the Montour Falls Memorial Library, the Schuyler County Humane Society, the Clemens Center, The Arts of the Southern Finger Lakes, and Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes.
For the Endless Mountain Music Festival, she has served as Director, Vice President, and board member. She is an adjunct professor at Keystone College in La Plume, PA; and a former adjunct instructor with Penn State and Mansfield University, teaching subjects including writing, speech, communications, literature, and business writing.
Officers voted in at the event include: Sharon Malick, President; Sally Armbruster, First Vice-President; Kitty Shallenberger, Second Vice-President; Anne Myers, Secretary; and Rita Tague-Carmony, Treasurer.
