Schuyler Hospital Receives Donation Valued at $5,400 from North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 277

Schuyler Hospital accepted a donation of a dust containment unit today, valued at $5,400, from the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Local 277.

“We are so appreciative of this gift from the local chapter of the Carpenter’s Union, and for their ongoing support of Schuyler Hospital and the Schuyler Health Foundation,” states Rebecca Gould, President & CFO of Schuyler Hospital. “This portable containment unit is a timely gift considering the pandemic we have been dealing with for the last year, along with the renovation projects we continue to bring forward.”

The modular containment unit – a Spycor Environmental Minti ECU4 – is a collapsible, portable containment unit for temporary isolation during normal facility operation or during a public health emergency.

“The NASRCC Local 277 is happy to take this opportunity to say thank you and to give back to the hospital and community that provides quality healthcare and services, not only to those who live in the community, but to all of our membership and their families that receive their healthcare services from Schuyler Hospital. This donation will let the community know that patient safety is the number one concern.” said Fred Swayze, Local 277 Council Representative, NASRCC.

The ECU line of products when paired with a HEPA-filtered negative air machine, will safely contain airborne contaminants and facilitate containment projects easier, while meeting all of the required codes and standards every time for all types of construction jobs, such as: Communication / IT Cabling projects, Plumbing, Pneumatic Tubing installation and maintenance, HVAC installation and maintenance, Electrical systems installation and maintenance, Fire wall repair and fire inspection, Professional A&E inspections, and Lighting fixture re-lamping and ballast replacement.
