Lab Tests Online
Lab Tests Online provides information to help patients and family caregivers better understand clinical lab tests. These include tests that are part of routine care, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of conditions and diseases. In addition, a mobile application provides on-the-go information about laboratory tests. Medical professionals can use the site as a quick reference tool or as a resource for keeping up with advances in laboratory science.
Launched in 2001, the site is produced by the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) and is the result of a collaboration of professional societies representing the laboratory community. The Joint Commission is a partner of Lab Tests Online and serves on their editorial board.
Medical Sharps Disposal
Schuyler County residents may bring containers of syringes and sharps to the Schuyler Hospital Laboratory Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Drop off containers during the week at the lab and on weekends use the Emergency Department entrance.
Place all used sharps (needles, syringes and lancets) in a strong plastic container with a SCREW-ON lid and secure lid with duct tape to prevent lid from opening when handled. Example: Laundry detergent bottles. DO NOT USE thin-walled plastic recyclable containers or plastic coffee container (lids do not stay attached).
Label all containers with name, phone number and address prior to drop off. The Laboratory Department will have markers or labels if you are unable to write on the container due to packaging restrictions.
You will be asked to place the sharps container in a larger sharps receptacle located in or near the Laboratory Department.
